POKOTABI / Supurauto
スプラウト
Supurauto in Shinagawa's Futaba neighborhood serves charcoal-grilled Daisen chicken, tsukune meatballs, mouthwatering chicken, and XO sauce noodles alongside regional sake and shochu.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Supurauto presents a menu where classic izakaya bites meet authentic Chinese dishes. Tucked away on a quiet street in Futaba, Shinagawa Ward, this neighborhood spot welcomes diners with thoughtful preparations and an expansive drink selection.
Charcoal-grilled meats lead the savory offerings. Skewered Daisen chicken thigh can be ordered with salt or tare glaze, and half portions accommodate solo drinkers looking to sample widely. The hefty 150 g tsukune meatball arrives with your choice of tsukimi egg-yolk sauce, grated daikon with ponzu, or melted cheese. Chinese specialties include spicy mouthwatering steamed Daisen chicken and slow-braised, melt-in-the-mouth pork kakuni.
A varied collection of carb-centric dishes stands ready to anchor a meal or close out an evening of drinks. The Tori-ple Golden Fried Rice, cooked with Daisen chicken thigh, house-rendered chicken oil, and rich red eggs, delivers clean, balanced savor, while stir-fried yakisoba noodles coated in house-made XO sauce make another popular late-order choice. Diners can also select soup noodles such as the 3rd Generation Supurauto Dandan Noodles—customized from zero spice up to extra spicy—as well as spicy curry and starchy braised pork rice bowls.
Drinks play an equally prominent role in the experience. The sake list spans pure-rice varieties such as Akita's Yuki no Bosha and Nagano's Masumi junmai ginjo, complemented by premium shochu labels including Maou and Hyakunen no Kodoku. Taiwanese Shaoxing wine, Ichiro's Malt highballs, and other Western and Chinese spirits give guests plenty of room to tailor pairings across the evening.
With counter seats and tables in a relaxed setting, Supurauto works just as naturally for dropping in alone as it does for sharing a full spread with friends.
